• Chat questions. The immigration questions you type into the chat, so we can answer them.
• Self-assessment inputs. The LinkedIn profile URL, résumé text or file, and field of work you submit to the free self-assessment.
• Contact details. Your email address — and any name or phone number you choose to add — when you unlock a full assessment report, request an appointment, or ask to speak with an attorney.
• Account information. The email and password you use to create and sign in to a member account.
• Documents you upload to a member account, which we encrypt at rest.

When you use the site we record limited technical information — such as your IP address and basic request details — to keep the service available, enforce daily usage limits, and tell automated abuse apart from real visitors. We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

• To answer your questions and produce your self-assessment result.
• To contact you about an assessment, appointment, or question you raised, and — if you become a client — to provide legal services under a separate engagement.
• To operate, secure, and improve the site, including preventing abuse and enforcing usage limits.
• To keep records the firm is required or permitted to keep.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run the site:

• our automated assessment provider — reads the LinkedIn profile or resume you submit to the self-assessment and returns an automated analysis. The text you submit is sent to this provider to produce your result.
• our AI model provider (Anthropic) — processes the questions you type into the chat to generate an AI-assisted answer.
• our hosting and bot-protection providers — serve the site, keep it available, and tell automated abuse apart from real visitors.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a business transfer.

The chat and the self-assessment use automated systems, including an outside AI model. Their output can be incomplete or wrong and is clearly labeled where it appears. Because what you type is sent to these systems to generate a response, please avoid including sensitive personal details you would not want processed by a third-party model.

We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — to answer you, to maintain your account, and to meet the firm's legal and record-keeping obligations — and then delete or de-identify it. Uploaded documents and other sensitive records are encrypted at rest.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask a question about how we handle it, by emailing info@jiaesq.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law; we will honor those that apply. You can close a member account at any time.

This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and significant changes will be noted on this page.
